A face shield is a piece of personal protective equipment (PPE) designed to protect the wearer’s face—especially eyes, nose, and mouth—from hazards such as flying debris, chemical splashes, sparks, or infectious droplets. It’s usually made of a transparent plastic visor attached to a headband or helmet.
