A wiggler—sometimes called a wobbler, edge finder, or center finder—is a precision alignment tool used in machining to position the tool head accurately relative to your workpiece. They are essential in milling and drilling setups for ensuring precise placement.
How It Works
Edge Finder Mode: A rotating spring-loaded cylinder runs out of alignment and “kicks off” when it's precisely aligned with the edge of the workpiece, enabling accurate edge detection.
Center Finder Mode: A pointed attachment helps locate the center of a hole or marked point. Mechanical center finders typically work with the spindle stopped.
